![]() ![]() Last night I ran a master that tested only 0.3 avg/sec C1 errors on Plextools. they test better than any of the internal "Superdrives". Yes we're using external firewire Plextor 716 DVD-R burners with great results. Do you fit one in the Mac or run an external with Firewire? On a different note, what are you using as a CD burner, I'm looking for a new one. unresolved kernel in trap, but the G5 is so quick to reboot, and I run the "repair permissions" routine in disk utility. is that with running WB? Once a month we still get the "Black Screen of Death". and wait.Īnd I've got down to less than a crash a week. What a relief from OS9 days when you had to reboot and wait. It's really not a problem, so quick to recover, the attending clients don't even know it's happened. It's WB 1.1.2 that's been crashing actually about once or twice a day, but we use it a lot. Peter Beckmann wrote on Wed, 02 November 2005 03:26 I remember paying about $1,000 USD for Masterlist CD v1.0 back in '94(?) or thereabouts.īTW you've seen our discussions about WB OSX already on this forum? However, I remember paying more for Masterlist CD than Logic pro costs now. Peter Beckmann wrote on Tue, 01 November 2005 We just picked up a second copy, to acquire a second USB key for our B room. But you can find it new & unopened on eBay for greatly reduced prices. Peter, can you get Waveburner without having to invest in Logic? Works very well for us.īobkatz wrote on Tue, 01 November 2005 16:06 ![]() Leaves the files at 24-bit right to the very end of the process, WB dithers (and SRC if needed) to 16 bit during "Bounce Project". I like this conceptially as it would mean you could generate 24 bit files of finished material and do final assembly in Waveburner with final dither right at the very end.Įxactly what we've been doing for a few years with WB OS9 & OSX. After a crash I nearly always send the report to Apple which should help them debug it even more. Peter, good to have another WB user onboard the forum! Yes the stability of WB OSX keeps getting better, mine still crashes once or twice a day, but nothing fatal, pops right back up with nothing lost. Now that Waveburner 1.1.2 finally seems pretty stable. Peter Beckmann wrote on Tue, 01 November 2005 10:00 ![]()
